He created the highly successful Orville Redenbacher Gourmet Popping Corn and Hunt’s Manwich strategies at ConAgra and served Procter & Gamble, Kraft and Unilever as a sales and marketing executive. At Chicago minority-owned powerhouses --Johnson Publishing Company (Fashion Fair Cosmetics, Ebony magazine) and Johnson Products Company (Ultra Sheen) he served as VP and General Manager. As a founder of the faith-based Goler Community Development Corporation (www.golercdc.org) he helped to revitalized an African-American historic district into a $100 million mixed use development in downtown Winston-Salem and as chairman of the Victory Masonic Mutual Credit Union, the oldest minority-owned financial services institution in North Carolina, he lead its merger with Truliant (truliantfcu.org), a federal credit union with $1.5 billion in assets and 80,000 members. He is a board member Emeritus of Truliant FCU, advisory board members of The History Makers, WFU Innovation Quarter and NC Get Covered; board member of Senior Services, Inc. and Goler Manor and member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity & a 33 Degree Mason. He is married to Sandra Miller Jones and they have a daughter, Dr. Bridgette Miller Jones.
Sandra Miller Jones is founding chair of both Segmented Marketing Services, Inc. (SMSi) and SMSi Health Insurance Solutions. Mrs. Jones was the first African-American woman to receive an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business. After leaving Kellogg, she worked as a marketing executive for the Quaker Oats Company, managing a variety of national brands, including the $100 million plus Quaker Oatmeal, Captain Crunch and Quaker Grits franchises. During her 35 years in business, Mrs. Jones has helped numerous other women entrepreneurs start and expand their businesses, which is her passion. She has also employed hundreds of community residents each year, including local outreach managers in 36 top cities. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, The Links, and Jack and Jill Emeritus member and board member NC Mutual Insurance & The Womens Fund , and member & past President of the YWCA. She is married to Lafayette Jones and they have a daughter, Dr. Bridgette Miller Jones
